Constantia meets Lake Constance

This unusual Wine Experience, featuring vintner Alexander Waibel, was held on 24th March 2017 in Hotel-Restaurant Schönblick. Born in Vorarlberg, Alexander Waibel was responsible for the establishment of Constantia Glen, a sizeable vineyard in South Africa. Together with his daughter Marietherese, he held a presentation of his wines in Hotel Restaurant Schönblick. The tasty five-course menu, which focused on the imaginative use of local produce, complemented the complexity of his wines perfectly. An exciting competition, organised by Paul Seeberger (Capewine), brought the congenial evening to a fitting close.
Food and sound 2016

The annual Wine Experience with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra was held on Sunday 17th July 2016 at 18.00. Traditional Viennese delicacies were served, and the string quartet from the Vienna Symphony Orchestra played a selection of music by Beethoven and Mozart. The programme of music was rounded off by Marlene Landerer's exceptional vocal performances. It goes without saying that no enjoyable evening is complete without the appropriate wine! Willi Hirsch, sommelier and president of the VSOV, introduced a selection of top-quality Austrian wines with humour and charm.
Wine Experience "Lake Constance"
26th June 2016
On 26th June 2016 vintners from Lake Constance met in Hotel Restaurant Schönblick to introduce a selection of their leading wines. A number of excellent wines from Lake Constance vineyards were presented by Sebastian Schmidt from Wasserburg, Kaspar Wetli from Berneck and Franz Nachbaur from Röthis. The imaginative and summery 5-course menu complemented the wines perfectly. It was a most enjoyable evening!
Opening of the Mehdafu gourmet restaurant

On Thursday 9th June 2016 our guests were able to enjoy our very successful opening evening. In the dialect of Vorarlberg "Mehdafu" means "more of": more of our region, more of our local produce, more of our hospitality. And when our hotel regulars got together for the opening evening on 9th June 2016, that fitted the bill exactly!
